About Me
Welcome to my newsletter, where I share thoughts and dealflow as an angel investor backing female founders in climate.
Last year, I wrote my first two checks for incredible women-led climate companies: Another Tomorrow and Endless Co, and this year, I’m taking the lead in managing SPVs. My average check size is $5-10k, and I invest through platforms like Sydecar— designed to attract small-check investors. (Angel investing is a privilege, but you don’t have to be ultra-wealthy to get started.)
My goal? To surface more of these investment opportunities and encourage more people—especially women— to step into angel investing. Whether you’re an investor, a founder, or just curious, I hope this space helps demystify the process and spark new connections.
My Why
To meet global CO2 reduction goals, we need an additional $2 trillion in private funding for climate tech. While institutional investors and VC firms play a critical role, small-check investors, angel communities, and SPVs can also help accelerate funding.
At the same time, less than 2% of VC dollars go to female founders—largely due to investor bias and the fact that most investors are white men. As a result, many high-potential women-led climate solutions struggle to access the capital they need.
Every year, angel investors invest $25 billion in more than 70,000 companies. Imagine the impact if more of that capital flowed to women-led climate solutions.
Wondering how you got here? I originally wrote under the name New Wave Angels but decided it felt more authentic to write as myself.
